Before the flight

How much is the balloon ride?

There are 3 different type of flights available in our company. Ask for 2024 Special Rates.

How to make a reservation?

You can select your balloon tour to book online or call us from +90-552-862-24-48 to make your reservation. We highly recommend you to make your reservation before arriving to Pamukkale. The balloon flights are limited in Pamukkale by Turkish Civil Aviation and its better to book in advance.

How to cancel my reservation?

We do not charge any pre-payments. If you decide to cancel your flight, you can do so without any cancelation fee until the day before the flight.

If the flight cancelled because of bad weather conditions, you will be fully refunded.

Will i get picked up from my hotel?

Yes, we will pick you from your hotel if you are staying in Pamukkale or Karahayit. If you are staying in Denizli or arriving to Çardak Airport, please get in contact with us and we can arrange your transfer.

When do balloons fly in Pamukkale?

We are scheduling our flights just before the sunrise. You will fly within the first balloon sortie of the day that is the one you see the very first rays of the sun while floating up on the air.

Who can fly in a balloon?

Passengers with any age can fly in a hot air balloon in Pamukkale. Children under 16 years old needs to be accompanied by their parents.

Is hot air ballooning in Pamukkale safe?

Hot air ballooning is an extremely safe activity. All the rides are fully insured and the operations are happening under international standards.

Do you offer breakfast?

We are serving open-buffet breakfast in an in-door restaurant in Pamukkale. You can enjoy your breakfast while our ground staff is deciding the perfect spot for the take-off location.

What time do the balloons in Pamukkale take off?

There are two morning flights allowed by Turkish Civil Aviation in Pamukkale. The first flight just takes off before sunrise and the second flight takes of after sunrise. We are flying our passengers in the first sortie of the day which is happening before the sunrise.

Can we get a balloon just for ourselves?

You can join our private balloon rides. Our balloons and baskets are coming in several sizes. We will use the sizes or combination of sizes that suits the number of people you are. 

What should i wear?

It’s best to wear something warm as it may be cold in the first hours of the day. It’s recommended to bring sturdy shoes, beanies, warm clothes.

Where does the balloon take off?

There are 30 different launc and landing sites around Pamukkale. Depending on the wind speed and direction, take off and landing spots are changing everyday. Today’s take-off site might be tomorrows landing site or we might not go back to that site for another week.

During the flight

How long is the ride?

Flight duration is about an hour on our Standard, Comfort and Private Flights. The whole experience from pick-up to drop-back takes between 2,5 to 3 hours.

How high do the balloons fly in Pamukkale?

Maximum altitude allowed by Turkish Civil Aviation is 3000 feets (915 meters) in Pamukkale. Hot air balloons flies from ground level to several thousand feet depending on the direction and speed of the wind.

Do the baskets sway up on the air?

Hot air balloon baskets do not sway as they move with the wind. You don’t need to worry about motion sickness.

How far will we fly?

Balloons are floating with the wind. Depending on the wind speed, it may be 3 miles or 30 miles.

Is it quiet in the balloon?

It’s very quiet when the burner is off. Sudden burst of flames from the burner makes your experience more interesting.

After the flight

Where will the balloon land?

Landing spot depends on the wind speed and direction. Every flight is different and landing location differs day to day.

What is the ground staff?

Ground staff are the employees who prepare the balloon and chase the balloon with radio contact throughout your flight. They meet you when you land and prepare your champagne celebration, hand over balloon ride certificates and drop you back to your hotel.

Will there be anything to eat or drink?

After the balloon lands, you can enjoy champagne or non-alcoholic beverages to celebrate your adventure. 

Will we be dropped back to our hotel?

Ground staff will drop you back to your accomodation with minibusses after the flight.

Should we tip our pilot and ground staff?

If you liked your ride and pilot, a gratuity is always appreciated.
